So a looong time ago i deleted internet explorer from my computer because i preferred firefox, now i use Google Chrome, BUT i'd like to run all forms of browsers on my computer in case one doesn't work for certain programs and what not.

When i try to install internet explorer 8 it says "A newer version of internet explorer is already installed", not in those exact words but that's the gist of it. So how do i FULLY uninstall the damn thing so i can reinstall it? It doesn't show up in uninstall programs anymore but it still shows up when i go to default programs. Anyone have suggestions or the same problem?
IT ISN'T UNDER INSTALL/UNINSTALL PROGRAMS. I'VE CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES, THE PROGRAM IS GONE COMPLETELY FROM ANY PROGRAM LIST EXCEPT DEFAULT:
YOU CAN'T RIGHT CLICK IN DEFAULT PROGRAMS.
And yes I DID uninstall it, it's gone, nowhere, missing, floating around in the hard drive somewhere because it's still being read as existing BUT IT DOESN'T. When i got the error I tried to find it and create a shortcut, but wherever i search it's not there.
soupfine, thank you, the support website had it under "alternative steps for uninstall,etc." hopefully it's gone now and i can install it properly >_< damn thing doesn't uninstall it just disappears. I'll post again if this didn't work~~
NOPE DIDN'T WORK, STILL INSTALLED/UNINSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER -_-
