yo guys, I need your help.

I run a small local business (uk not US sorry), fixing pc's (yawn).

Currently, my site is #3 in G serps for PC Repair <mytown>, which is OK but not #1, it ranks a bit lower in Yahoo and Bing.

some retard domainers have bought pcrepair<mytown>.co.uk, so I have a non-keyword domain. I dont really want to change the domain, but rather work on it as is and just get more local traffic to it.

My immediate question is would buying up some domains and hosting them on godaddy/hostgator etc (it helps to use different servers, right?) and have a landing page pointing to my main site help? for instance domains like pcrepairs<mytown>.co.uk

I also plan to get link building going on technology related directories/forums/blogs,

If anyone has any other tips, they would be really appreciated. This is my main source of income and well, I need more
