Default I have Microsft security essentials on my pc. What else do I need to get so I'm

protected? I'm computer challenged so I really need basic easy to understand instructions. I will pay for a program but I don't know which ones to get. Thanks

I think you are protected well enough with that. No need to pay for a program when you can just use Microsoft's anti-virus application for free. If you want to boost your security further, use an internet browser like Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html) or Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome). After you finish installing one of those, make sure you set it as the default browser. Then look for an extension called adblock, which will block most ads online and help keep viruses and spyware off your computer.
Another nifty free program is ccleaner, which cleans up temporary, useless files that get created over time and when you use various programs on your computer. Ccleaner can be found here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/download/ea67f121b76931e56d681a1cbae6b492/

If you need details on what all the options mean in Ccleaner, just check out the website. Everything you need to know can be found there. Don't forget that you have to manually run Ccleaner when you want it to clean junk off your hard drive.
Lastly, make sure your Windows firewall is on. You can usually make sure of this by clicking start>control panel>security>firewall settings. It should be enabled for the best all around protection from threats.
