I'm thinking of getting my own site and am wondering which is better: cheap web hosting or free web hosting?

Paying a few bux for your hosting account is much better than a free host. I had a free hosting account years back but then switched over to paid hosting later.

I'd just mention a few drawbacks I had with the free hosting account.

1) Frequent Downtimes
2) No Backup
3) Ads on the top/bottom of the website, which irrirates the visitors to read the content of the website.
4) No Support Guarantee (You dont know whether the support guys will reply you or not...!!!)
