Default Should I put Windows 7 on my computer?

My current desktop is a Dell Vostro 200 running Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 32-bit, with an Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz, 2.99GB RAM, and a Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family graphics card.

Should I upgrade to Windows 7? I ran the upgrade advisor, and it said I was good to go, but I still wanted to know if it's a good idea to do so.

I have Windows 7 and I think it is great. If you can think of something you want to do chances are there is a way to do it on Windows 7. If your computer is already compatible with Windows 7 I see now reason why you shouldn't go for it!

I hope this helps!

In my case, it's quite different. I've been an XP user until now. I've tried to switch to Windows 7 but unfortunately I've no luck to it. It's slow than I expected so I just switch back to XP.

you must have a very slow/old PC or else you are doing something wrong in the installation. Windows 7 is not slow...

I too use a similar type of computer as mentioned above; I installed windows-7 it works very fine. I suggest you to use it; it is the best version of windows which Microsoft has released so far
