I have a 500GB Hard Drive and I stupidly gave my C: drive (the one where the OS is installed) too much (200GB), I would like to take some of this and (1) append some to my G: drive (where all my files are) and create a new drive (where I would like to install Ubuntu).

I don't know where I can buy a Live Disk so I am opting to install Ubuntu on my desktop.
Is this possible without deleting or corrupting data from my drives? Or I have no choice but to backup my files because my files will be deleted if I do it?
Sorry for asking without Googling first, if I use the Disk Management tool of Windows 7, are you saying that Linux won't be able to recoginize it?
This is what I'm really planning
1. Reduce C: by at least 100GB
2. Reduce D: by at least 25 - 30GB
3. Expand G: by at least 50 - 65GB
4. Create a new drive with the remaining space and install Linux (Ubuntu).
