I have a GENUINE version of Windows 7 that doesn't seem to be activating ? It's always saying that I need to put in my product key again but I have no idea where it's gone ? I just can't find it in anywhere in my house. And I'm not paying £130 for a new version, what will happen if I don't activate it or is there anything else I can do ?

Hi,
I upgraded from Vista (which came installed on my laptop) to 7, and now I'm trying to activate it, but it says the product key isn't valid. It's the one on the label on the bottom of my laptop that I should be able to use to activate Windows 7. What do I need to do?

You need the key from the main serial section as shown in this screenshot. Hope this helps.
