I've installed AVG, Avast, & Malwarebytes and none of them will update their database. This is a standard Windows 7 install, from the store. The firewall never asked if I wanted to add any rules after these programs were installed.

Also: No matter what configurations I try, and even when I bypass the wireless router and connect the laptop directly to the cable-modem, I cannot get any file-sharing aps to detect any seeds or peers. I have already run through all the tutorials. However, my Windows XP desktop will read the seeds, and peers, as well as update everything just fine. The problem is Windows 7. The Windows 7 desktop will not read any seeds either, and this is for very active, healthily seeded legal files.
