Default Windows 7 Applications Freeze?

I've been having these really annoying freezes since a few weeks;
原帖地址: TechSpott - Computer and technology forums http://www.techspott.com//showthread.php?p=4599

My PC (seemingly) randomly freezes up all applications that are running for about half a minute and then just continues like nothing happened.
I'm not doing anything special at the time (maybe browsing some folders, listening music or surfing) and all of sudden all programs become unresponsive. Really everything just freezes up for a few moments, the weird thing is tho... I play a lot of games and I have never EVER had this in game, It only ever happens when I'm out of a game just doing some normal things, even weirder, during these freezes the cursor still moves and all shortcuts and files still highlight when I mouse over them, but clicking it gives no response until the freeze is over and it does then what it was supposed to do when I clicked it. In short; everything still works, but all applications (except games) freeze up for a time.

This is not something that makes my pc inoperable in any way, but it drives you mad when this happens every ten to fifty minutes, couldn't find any solution by googling it, so the only thing I can think of now is a complete reinstall of windows plus the 500+ gig's of apps and games (which I really hope isn't necessary).
Does anyone know what is causing this? I'm growing increasingly desperate....

Specs:
MoBo: Asus P6T Se
CPU: Intel core I7 920 @2.7-2.8 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX260 896MB
RAM: 6144MB RAM Tri-channel
HDD: 2x 460GB @7200rpm
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
All Drivers Up-to-date

Any help is appreciated, reinstalling my entire PC is a daunting task that I'd rather not undergo...
