I have not made any changes or updates to my computer when this started happening. It just started happening all of a sudden.

It's almost as if the computer is freezing for a split second every second or two. The mouse lags at the same time as the music stutters, so we can rule out a mouse problem and we can rule out an audio problem. They are connected somehow, I'm thinking the computer is continually freezing. There is nothing that I can do to make it freeze more or less.

It only freezes for a split second so it is causing me no other problems than a lag/freeze and music stuttering.

Any ideas how to fix this?
