really its a different problem..may be first of all you check settings.Google new tab page displays links to websites you visit the most, recently saved websites, and recently closed tabs when you open new tabs in your browser:

Thumbs up Re: computer window vista?

Windows Vista contains many changes and new features, including an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Aero, a redesigned search function, multimedia tools including Windows DVD Maker, and redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network, using peer-to-peer technology to simplify sharing files and media between computers and devices.

This Windows Vista-only feature limits Internet Explorer 8 to just enough permissions for you to browse the Web, but not enough to modify your files or settings which helps keep your computer safe from Web-based attacks.

you can edit this on internet options, try to delete websites on the home page box and leave the one you want for your home page, if you see multiple sites on that box, these sites will automatically open in different tabs once you open your browser.

Vista has not that good when it is compared with other versions of window, it has lot of problems with hardware incompatibility and software are also not compatible, commonly used software not run with vista and that is a drawback that makes people uninterested in the vista.
